Ollie is a sweetheart
Ollie is a happy 2 year old that is very intelligent and eager to please. Being young and not having any formal training, he does have some bad habits, but with consistent positive reinforcement training, he should be able to learn new positive alternatives. He pulls on-leash and has on occasion tried to chase a car or two. His way of expressing love is to nibble on his person. He doesn’t understand personal space and wants to be in your lap and licking your face.
During the day he has the run of the backyard with his other sheepdog friend. He is housebroken and tolerates grooming well and is familiar with a dog door. He is not a finicky eater and eats right away. He does well with other dogs and seems to tolerate cats well. He stays home alone without issue and loves to sleep on the bed with you so crating would not be preferred.
Ollie is going to need someone who has the time to train him and, since he is so strong, he needs a strong owner. I don’t think he would be a good fit for a home with young children or small dogs as he is still clumsy and doesn’t know his size and strength. but he is very amiable with other dogs.
I believe he would be excellent in a home with someone looking to get into performance with a dog. After some training, he would probably really excel at and enjoy flyball, or someone who wants a hiking companion.
